Special
Care Unit
This Unit takes in children
with moderate to profound multiple disabilities.
The aims of the Special Care
Unit are:
- To adopt a sensory approach to the
Curriculum where emphasis is on providing materials for environmental and
social situations, which will encourage attitudes of curiosity and
exploration in the children and lead to the initiation of their learning
experiences.
This is delivered through
two main activity fields: multi-sensory and ‘learning for living’ activities.
